A newspaper out of Montréal is reporting that two Montreal Canadiens players have been linked to a suspected mobster.
Canadiens forwards and brothers Andrei and Sergei Kostitsyn are good friends with Pasquale Magiola, an alleged member of organized crime who was recently arrested in police operations. It has been reported that Magiola provided the brothers with luxury cars, Vodka and Women. Defenseman Roman Hamirlik has also been linked to the story, as he’s been seen in various bars with Magiola.
Police apparently have recorded conversations between the brothers and Magiola, but are not commenting on the alleged links between the two.
Well to cap off a week, where the Habs sent home there best player before a road trip, this happens. The shit is hitting the fan in a big way in Montreal. High hopes for the team entering the season, along with their 100th year celebration, the Canadiens are about to hit rock bottom. I will be very surprised if the team makes they playoffs the way they are going, and my guess is the coach and maybe the GM could be gone at the end of the year.
