Borriello Out For Season

Written By: Mark Calaminici

AC Milan confirmed that Marco Borriello has undergone surgery to remove a cyst in his thigh. He has been out for the majority of the season and now it has been confirmed he will be out for the remainder.

Borriello who rejoined AC Milan this summer from Genoa wanted to prove himself to the club he played for before that he was a starter in the league as well as a starter for a club like Milan. The speculation is that he will be out until April but that may not be enough time for recovery. Milan have dealt with a lot of injuries this season and coach Carlo Ancelotti is not happy he is losing another player. Ancelotti has been on the hot seat this season as there is big expectation for the club to succeed in UEFA and Serie A.
